Text content can be one of the most private types of data users generate and approaches that seek to collect this type of information can expect to be met with resistance and potentially lead to lower levels of adherence and compliance. Aware of these challenges, WildKey was devised to capture the important typing metrics while not storing or sharing any textual content – outside the specific study tasks it asks users to perform. WildKey analyzes all data locally on the device before it synchronizes only those calculations. You and your participants get the best of both worlds, privacy and informative metrics.

At any point users can select the lock always available when the keyboard is opened to enter the "private mode" which disables all text analytics. No data is processed or stored while the user remains in private mode. This is also relevant for situations when the device is shared, and assessments should not be considered.

To comply with GDPR, WildKey enables researchers to quickly download all data from a specific user, and delete it all if necessary.
